Alberta government paid utility companies more than $8M last month to cover price cap pledge

The provincial government paid more than $8.3 million last month to electrical utility companies in Alberta. The payments were a result of power prices going above the province's price cap of 6.8 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) for consumers.
